Half Moon Bay Summer (2016)
This painting is a large 48″x 60″ oil on canvas where the painting extends to the edges of the deluxe gallery stretched canvas.
The painting was inspired by the Central Californian Coast between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay. Summer is the time of year when the grasses have turned a golden yellow, orange and red, and low clouds hang across the sky. And yet, as you stand and look out, sunbeams will sneak through the clouds, lighting up pockets of the ocean surface.
